Summary: This lighting system uses a unique combination of materials that withstand higher temperatures while reducing levels of material outgassing. LCP resin, used for the lighting body and wedge base, enables front and daytime running lamps to continuously operate up to 230C (446F) without negatively impacting the photometric output, as can occur when other materials (e.g. nylons and PPAs) are used in its place. Furthermore, the LCP solution saves costs due to reduced cycle times.

Most Innovative Feature: This high-tech product line uses a unique combination of materials that provides a higher level of temperature operation with reduced levels of material outgassing. Material outgassing is detrimental to the photometric output of vehicular lighting due to lens fogging.

Other Innovative Features: The availability of a variety of socket and bulb combinations, combined with higher thermal tolerance, makes this S-8 high Temp. Series the ideal solution for Front and DRL (Daytime Running Lamp) applications.
